Retail Security Officer – Macarthur Central

Position: Permanent Full‑Time Level 5 Security Officer

Reporting to the Site Supervisor. Working days are Tuesday to Saturday, 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a visible security presence, ensuring the safety of customers, staff, and property.

- Respond swiftly and professionally to incidents, managing emergency situations effectively.

- Defuse tense situations and maintain a calm, approachable, and positive atmosphere.

- Provide high‑quality customer service, ensuring concerns are heard and addressed.

- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security records.

- Assist with investigations, working closely with the site team to resolve security‑related issues.

- Support the team in implementing emergency procedures and maintain awareness of safety protocols.

- Utilise technology to communicate effectively and manage daily security operations.

Qualification

- Current QLD Security Licence including Monitoring, Crowd Control and Unarmed.

- First Aid Certificate.

- Full working rights in Australia.

- Experience in retail environments highly advantageous.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Available retail trading hours, including evening trading.
