The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker for day shift to join theH-E Partsteamat our new Wattleup facility. The role will be Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend work as required.

To be considered for this role applicants must have 5 years leading hand experience in a heavy manufacturing / MEM environment, a strong focus and commitment to health and safety and the ability to manage job schedules and allocation of new and repair products in the workshop.

Key responsibilities include

- To ensure that jobs and safety instructions issued by the Workshop Supervisor are carried out as required.

- To ensure high standards of workmanship throughout the department are maintained with positive mentoring and leading by example.

- Provide regular updates to the Workshop Supervisor to ensure timelines are met and communication is maintained.

- Assist in maintaining a high level of housekeeping.

- When required assist all trade employees to ensure they are learning on the job.

- When required conduct pre-start meetings to cover all daily issues including safety, job requirements, communication etc.

- Maintain compliance and continually improve the way we do things.

- Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and internal customers.

Qualifications and Experience required

- Trade qualification and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a Heavy manufacturing / MEM environment or mining related industry

- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory / leadership role

- Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime

- A proven commitment to Health and Safety

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Highly regarded (but not essential)

Experience with Pronto or SAP
