The Opportunity

As our Senior Payroll Officer, you will be a key plater in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of our payroll function across the business. Reporting to the HR Solutions Lead and working closely with Finance, this role is responsible for end‑to‑end payroll processing for both salaried and waged employees.

You will manage and maintain payroll systems (ADP) and time & attendance platforms (Kronos), while also taking ownership of statutory reporting, superannuation, taxation, and other third‑party obligations.

Your attention to detail and understanding of relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and legislation will ensure all payments and deductions are administered correctly and on time.

The role requires someone who can confidently provide guidance to managers and staff on payroll matters, support strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.

- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.

- Prepare and submit statutory reporting, including taxes and superannuation.

- Respond to all payroll‑related enquiries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner, providing clear and accurate information.

- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll operations.

- Mentor and train junior payroll staff to enhance their skill sets

Qualifications

- Proven experience in payroll management, preferably in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of ADP and Kronos payroll systems.

- Excellent understanding of relevant legislation, payroll practices, and compliance requirements.

- Strong attention. to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

- Relevant certifications in payroll management are an advantage
