Overview

Senior Associate - Construction, Infrastructure & Projects

In this role, you'll work side-by-side with a nationally recognised partner, who is widely known and highly respected in the sector, for their deep expertise, commercial pragmatism, and collaborative leadership style. This is a rare opportunity to fast-track your development under the guidance of a truly respected leader in the field.

The Work

You'll be advising developers, contractors, and all levels of government on a range of front-end construction and infrastructure matters, including:

- Drafting and negotiating complex construction, project, and commercial agreements

- Advising on procurement methods

- Supporting infrastructure delivery across aged care, education, residential, community, utilities, and sport

- Claims management, tender documentation, and contract strategy

- Client engagement and marketing initiatives to drive practice growth

- Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to a positive, high-performance team

About You

You will be a technically sharp, commercially savvy lawyer with at least 5-7+ years PAE in construction, infrastructure, or major projects. You will be confident managing matters, but still keen to learn and grow. You will enjoy the responsibility of client-facing work, and you want to build a career, alongside the industry's best.

- Proven experience drafting and negotiating front-end project contracts

- The ability to navigate complex regulatory and commercial frameworks

- Clear, persuasive communication skills

- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders, from contractors to government

- A proactive mindset, curiosity, and genuine interest in growing a practice
