**The Company**:
Our client is a prominent player in the global clean energy sector, spearheading the development, construction, ownership, and operation of grid-scale battery storage projects worldwide. With a robust presence in critical markets (UK, Australia, Japan, and Taiwan), they are actively contributing to the global clean energy transition.

**The Role**:
We are currently seeking a seasoned and motivated Global Lead WHSE (Work, Health, Safety, and Environment) to join the team. As the Global Lead WHSE, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the alignment of our WHSE agenda with business strategies and corporate principles across the region. This is an unparalleled opportunity to join a dynamic company during a phase of exciting expansion in the clean energy industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Formulate and establish the overarching strategy, frameworks, and management system for WHSE within the organization.
- Implement systems and processes to effectively manage day-to-day WHSE operations.
- Provide expert advice to the CEO and senior leadership team on WHSE matters.
- Create frameworks to ensure WHSE activities adhere to regulations, client requirements, and international standards.
- Oversee incident investigations and actions to address and prevent recurrences.
- Develop and implement training programs and WHSE initiatives to enhance awareness and build competencies.
- Lead WHSE assurance and audit programs to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the implementation of a global Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) management system.
- Define and implement sustainability strategies and policies.
- Review and execute sustainability program objectives, monitoring progress and ensuring compliance.
- Monitor and report sustainability/ESG performance and progress to stakeholders.
- Develop or oversee the development of sustainability evaluation or monitoring systems.

**Requirements**:

- 15+ years’ experience in the renewable/battery/clean energy industry.
- Deep knowledge of WHSE regulations, international standards, and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and ESG principles.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in WHSE management are a plus.
