Data
Working in data at Mantel means there are opportunities to align to a particular cloud platform or remain cloud agnostic. Our teams are made up of awesome people who specialise in numerous areas of data so there are endless opportunities for you including data engineering, machine learning, data analytics and data science.
You won’t just be keeping up with AI; you'll be leading the curve. We have been delivering complex AI solutions since 2017 and are actively designing and scaling enterprise-level, fully automated Agentic AI solutions.
About the role
As a key member of our Data Engineering team, you’ll be responsible for designing and deploying client environments through code, developing data pipelines, building data models and advanced queries to help our clients harness the power of data.
Your day-to-day
- Take responsibility for the deliverables and efforts of project teams (varying in size, complexity and makeup of the team), and at times sharing responsibility collaboratively with other Leads / Principals.
- Establish an architecture for technical delivery, defining how this will be executed within the project and ensure this vision is clear and shared across the team and other relevant stakeholders.
- Drive and represent the Data Engineering capability both internally and externally, collaborating across Mantel domains to ensure our AI and data solutions are tailored to client needs.
- Participate in pre‑sales activities e.g. creating proposals/SoWs and facilitating walk‑throughs with clients.
- Build meaningful and trusted relationships with clients, key decision makers and partners (e.g. SME's within partners such as AWS, Google, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Use professional judgement while treating colleagues and clients with respect and compassion, and a demonstrated ability to display our five Mantel principles.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Strong consulting experience, either with external clients or internally within an organisation.
- Experience in building and managing data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts with tools such as Snowflake, Databricks.
- Experience with CI/CD practices & tools - GitHub Actions, Gitlab, BuildKite, etc.
- Experience defining data strategies for AI, including setting the standards for feature governance, data quality, and data lineage required for robust ML systems.
- Experience in establishing technical architecture and leading the delivery of technical projects and project teams.
