AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Logistics Specialist you will be part of a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers and other essential roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest safety and security standards while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost to our customers, all within an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas.

Key Job Responsibilities

- Maintain inventory to ensure proper stock levels support build and repair activities.

- Physically receive and issue parts as needed for internal customers.

- Load, unload and transport parts between different sites.

- Keep accurate stock records for all items through physical cycle counts.

- Maintain the safety, organization and cleanliness of all workspaces using Amazon 7S principles.

Travel

The role may require travel to other sites within the Melbourne metro area for cycle counts, receiving stock, replenishing inventory, and returning defective stock. Travel between sites will be reimbursed; own transport is required.

Physical / Environmental Demands

- Load and unload shipments.

- Stand, sit, and walk (including stairs) for prolonged periods.

- Frequently push, pull, squat, bend and kneel.

- Reach and stretch to position equipment while maintaining balance.

- Move heavy objects up to 16 kg alone or participate in group lifts of 20 kg or more.

- Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment.

- Work in office and warehouse environments with low to moderate noise.

Day in the Life

You'll carry out logistical support functions for our Data Centers, managing spare parts transactions, consumable stock replenishment, and cycle counting of stock.

Basic Qualifications

- 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply‑chain, transportation, or equivalent experience.

- Experience in inventory management, process improvement, and shipping & receiving.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in logistics, transportation, supply‑chain, import/export operations, or data entry/data administration.
