**The Role**
The key focus of the role is the coordination and management of all Army related FOI requests. This occurs following a request to the Department for access to documents under the FOI Act. Army currently manages the bulk of the Departmental FOI requests and they are often complex, sensitive and historical in nature.
You will engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including the Departmental FOI team, Army legal and the Army media team.
The ability to assess documentation, provide comprehensive advice and maintain effective communication is essential.
**About our Team**
The Army FOI team strategically manages all Army-related requests made under the FOI Act. We regularly work closely with other Groups and Services when requests are complex and cover multiple items.
You will use your strategic and analytical skills to assess documentation, provide quality guidance, advice and recommendations, ensuring the integrity of Army decision-making.
You will have well-developed analytical skills coupled with a strong level of strategic awareness to recognise links between inter-connected issues.
You will work collaboratively to balance competing priorities, interpret legislation and policy, and provide high quality advice to the decision maker within legislated timeframes.
