Overview of Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Environmental Program Coordinator to join our team at nrmjobs.com.au. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is dedicated to environmental conservation and has excellent organizational and communication skills.

About the Role

The Environmental Program Coordinator will play a key role in the coordination and implementation of our environmental programs across Victoria. You will be responsible for managing volunteer engagement, coordinating events, and providing administrative support to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Volunteer Coordination: Coordinate groups of volunteers, facilitate inductions, and convey the organisation's mission and values.
  • Organise Group Volunteer Events: Seek and schedule volunteers, organise meals, book rooms, ensure WHS policies are adhered to, and coordinate workflow.
  • Volunteer Follow-Up: Coordinate distribution of information and follow-up with volunteers for timely updates and problem-solving.
  • Volunteer Enrolment & Training: Review volunteer EOI, onboard, and allocate to appropriate assignments.
  • Volunteer Tracking: Monitor and track volunteer activities for reporting and accountability.
  • Material Ordering: Order, organise, and coordinate delivery of materials for volunteer kits.
  • Administration: Provide administrative support to the TreeProject manager, maintain records, file management, create templates and processes, and provide accurate reporting.
  • Drop Offs & Collections: Deliver materials, post supplies, pick up adhoc supplies in Metropolitan Melbourne and surrounds.
Requirements:
  • Loving Working with Volunteers: Take pleasure in working with a diverse range of volunteers, ensuring their positive engagement and enriching experiences.
  • A Positive Can-Do Attitude: Have an enthusiastic and proactive approach to work, happy to jump in and help where necessary.
  • Intermediate Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and enjoy learning new systems.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong & confident verbal and written communication, effortlessly developing positive relationships.
  • Strong Organisation: High attention to detail and effective task & time management skills.
  • Passion for Sustainability: Genuine interest in the environment and the work we do in sustainability.
  • Supportive & Collaborative: Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Flexible and able to come up with ideas to problem solve and inspired by continuous improvement.
Benefits:
  • $64,000 - $72,000 per annum, depending on experience.
