An exciting opportunity is available for a **Facilities or Building Maintenance **specialist to play a key role in the Building Maintenance team supporting Banyule’s commitment to service delivery through its facilities and assets.

**Your role**:

- Support the Building Maintenance team to ensure Council buildings and assets are fully maintained and fit for purpose.
- Manage reactive and planned building maintenance programs, as well as participate in the development of capital works project briefs.
- Use a variety of building management systems to ensure buildings are functioning at optimal requirements.
- Build effective relationships with all stakeholders, and contractors, to ensure all building and operational needs are met and exceeded.

**Skills, experience and certificates**
- Tertiary or Trade qualifications in Building Engineering, and / or proven and extensive experience in facilities management works across a large and diverse portfolio of buildings.
- Extensive experience in managing building operating systems: BMS systems, pool plant, energy management, security, lighting controls systems, security systems, and access control systems.
- Extensive experience in management of technical and trades contractors across a diverse portfolio of buildings.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills and an ability to discuss and resolve problems, gain cooperation, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and contractors.

**Mandatory Pre-employment screenings**:
