Our Greensborough care home is a modern residency, set in a close-knit community, located on the scenic Diamond Creek Road.

With transport links nearby, and only 22kms from the CBD, it consists of 90 beds, with a variety of care types.

About the Role


As the Casual Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the energy, engagement, and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities.

You will also lead mental health and wellbeing programs which empower our resident's choices and independence.

Duties

  • Plan, organise, and lead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needs while also promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
  • Assess and document the effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents' progress and changing the programs as needed

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of a Cert III in Leisure and Lifestyle
  • Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
  • Previous experience within an aged or community care setting
  • Highly developed organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to solve problems independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes

Bupa Villages and Aged Care is a NDIS approved provider.

As part of the NDIS scheme, employees working within a NDIS facility, in a risk assessed role, must have a completed NDIS check.

This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement - successful applicants will have this cost reimbursed upon commencement.
