**Your new role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Excellence Specialist to join our Strategy and Transformation team. This role will work across the organisation to support leaders and teams to develop their 4-year service plans.

Strategically, 2024 is a pivotal year for Knox Council as we embark on the development of a new Council and Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025-29, a new Organisation Strategy, and a new Integrated Strategic Planning Framework. Service plans are a crucial element of this new framework, translating our organisational goals and strategies into actionable objectives and initiatives at the operational level, ensuring alignment across all departments and functions. Service plans will provide a clear roadmap for how Council will address the evolving needs and aspirations of our community. They will detail how services will be designed, delivered, and evaluated, will ensure that resources are allocated effectively to meet community priorities and achieve desired outcomes.

This is a Band 7 classified role, remuneration will be $104,630.20 - $117,345.47 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

**What you will need to thrive**

The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Proven ability to develop cross-organisational teams to drive service planning by establishing clear purpose, goals and responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience delivering a program of service planning in partnership with the business and aligned to strategic and financial outcomes
- The ability to develop and maintain trusted working relationships with the leadership team, business owners, technical experts and key stakeholders to gain their ongoing engagement and buy-in to key business decisions.
- Strong project management capabilities, and experience in change management
- Strong analytical, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills with keen attention to detail, along with the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure and budget-constrained environment.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, presentations and facilitate workshops with experience explaining and presenting service planning and continuous improvement concepts.
- Experience in training, facilitation and coaching in new processes and tools.
- Demonstrated skill in managing analysis and hypothesis-driven problem-solving.
- Previous local government experience would be highly valued but not required.
