**About the Opportunity**

This is a Band 7 classified role; remuneration will be $104,630 - $117,345 depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the superannuation guarantee.

- A sound level of understanding of the insurance industry, claims administration and the statutory responsibilities of Council in regard to insurance.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, undertake consultation and collaborate across the organisation and with stakeholders on projects.
- An understanding of the Australian Standards and principles of risk management.
- Ability to draft routine correspondence and reports and possess well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new systems and work with multiple systems concurrently.
- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work produced.
- Well-developed ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts, recommend optimum solutions and provide specialist risk management and insurance advice
- Excellent numeracy and written skills and the ability to prepare and communicate reports, policies, procedures and other related documents and provide analysis.
