Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people? Are you experienced in vocational support and career development? headspace Knox is seeking a dedicated and skilled Youth Worker - Vocation Specialist to join our team

As a **Youth Worker - Vocation Specialist**, you will provide assertive outreach to young people experiencing a range of mental health challenges, ensuring they are connected to suitable employment opportunities and receive the necessary support to thrive in these roles.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with the broader headspace Knox and Lilydale teams to provide specialized individual career development services that support young people in gaining employment.

Some of the key responsibilities of your role will include:

- Cold calling and marketing the vocational program and young job seekers to a wide range of employers
- Develop and deliver training workshops to clinical staff, community groups, and other organizations to promote vocational recovery
- Provide support and education to employers on how to best support young people in the workplace and create ongoing work placement opportunities

Establishing partnerships with external organizations, including employers, training providers, educational institutions, community service organizations, and other health professionals, will be a crucial aspect of your role. You will actively participate in clinical and networking meetings, presenting information and providing professional development workshops to promote the vocational recovery program both internally and externally.

**Qualifications**:
We are seeking someone with extensive knowledge and expertise in career coaching or providing sound career-planning support to young people, along with a deep understanding of youth mental health.

To excel in this role, you will also possess:

- Tertiary qualifications in Youth Work or a relevant field
- Demonstrated experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, career development, or a related field
- A current state-based driver’s license

Extensive knowledge of the issues that impact young people when accessing employment and educational opportunities is important. Familiarity with the employment services sector, Centrelink, and other state and federal employment initiatives that impact young people is also beneficial.
