**About the team**

This role is an exciting opportunity to work with the SafeWork NSW Privacy & Right to Information Team, responsible for overseeing SafeWork’s statutory responsibilities under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), as well as Privacy and Health legislation. The team also provide specialist advice, education and training to support compliance with the organisation’s privacy and public information access obligations.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Right to Information & Privacy Manager, this role operates in a high volume, fast paced and front-line structured environment.

We are looking for someone who, as part of a team, can provide leadership and technical guidance to staff, on our information access obligations. You will need to be able to manage and assist the team in managing complex and sensitive requests for information, to ensure sound decision making and compliance.

**Your responsibilities will include**
- Effectively prioritising and coordinating the workflow of a team, in a high volume and time pressured environment
- Providing specialised guidance and advice to staff and internal stakeholders, regarding our government information access obligations.
- Managing complex, sensitive, and non-routine requests for government information to ensure compliance with the GIPA Act
- Developing and implementing processes, procedures, and training programs to lead best practice.
- Managing and developing stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management, to ensure key programs of work are delivered.
- Representing the agency and promoting SafeWork’s obligations under the GIPA Act and privacy & health legislation.

What we need from you

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $120859 base plus superannuation
