**The Department**

The Rights Management team sits within the Legal division and supports SBS to maximise the reach of content while complying with copyright and rights restrictions and obligations.

**The Role**

The Rights Coordinator '“ NITV Content is responsible for a range of administrative tasks relating to content produced in-house by NITV to support television broadcast and streaming on SBS On Demand.

Reporting to the Rights Management Manager, this role will see you;
- Work closely with NITV production and business teams to coordinate the collection of rights and other production information
- Interpret agreements with third party producers and other rights holders to identify rights
- Data entry of production and rights data to IBMS
- Register NITV copyright claims with Screenrights
- Regularly run database reports to check NITV rights data accuracy
- Manage approvals of NITV internal productions and Indigenous News and Current Affairs productions music cue sheets in Soundmouse

**About you**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- An understanding of Indigenous Cultural Protocol and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
- Experience working with databases using a high level of accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
- Working knowledge of intellectual property rights in a media or content environment is desirable
- Experience using Operative IBMS will be advantageous
