As the Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of our centralized administration operations and general operating sites.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management, you will be responsible for executing audits and providing guidance on governance and assurance matters. You will work closely with the Senior Internal Auditor and utilize your strong interpersonal skills to partner with key stakeholders at all levels across the Visy Group. This role will require regular domestic and international travel due to the diversity and scope of our national business.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Plan and complete assigned audit work in accordance with audit programs
- Prepare internal audit reports which document the audit findings, implications and recommendations for corrective action or improvements.
- Evaluate and provide advice to management on internal controls in all areas of the business
- Evaluate whether internal controls in place meet group standards and are functioning as intended
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of the business
- Assess the extent of adherence to company policies and procedures
- Evaluate whether established objectives and goals of the businesses are able to be accomplished

**To be considered you must have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a Corporate, Manufacturing, or Logistics environment
- Partially or fully CP/CPA qualified
- Strong skills in SAP, Excel, and Word
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, practices, and standards
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Outstanding relationship building, coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- A driver’s license and access to a car is required due to regular travel
