We have two audit portfolios within VAGO: Performance Audit and Financial Audit. Our audit support function is split into the Office of the Auditor-General and Corporate Services.

**Who you’ll work with**:
The Office of the Auditor-General is responsible for VAGO’s audit quality framework, financial reporting advisory and legal compliance functions and supports both Financial Audit and Performance Audit divisions. It is responsible for providing auditing technical advice and maintaining financial audit methodology in the conduct of audits of financial statements, estimated financial statements, performance statements, acquittal audits and all other types of audits VAGO provides audit or assurance opinions on. It is also responsible for performing quality reviews (Financial Audit and Performance Audit) of VAGO engagement leaders and contracted Audit Service Providers and providing technical auditing training to Financial Audit and Performance Audit divisions as required.

**What you’ll do**:
This role has broad communications responsibilities across VAGO. It drives the evolution and continuous improvement of the format, quality and impact of our external communications. For these reasons, the Manager, Publishing is passionate about delivering audience-focused, impactful and accessible communications through the right channels at the right time.

The Manager, Publishing is accountable for the delivery of audit communications products and developing communication capability in others.

**What you’ve studied**:

- Demonstrated editing and production experience using best-practice communications techniques to prepare a broad range of high-quality communication materials with a focus on audience and clear communication.
- Microsoft 365 apps (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams)
- Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Acrobat Pro and InDesign)
- Website content management systems
- Sound knowledge of digital communications approaches
- Tertiary qualifications in publishing or a related field
- Accreditation with the Institute of Professional Editors or equivalent is desirable

**What else you need to know**:

- When not working from home, this role is based at 35 Collins Street, Melbourne
- Travel to various work locations throughout
