**The role**
Reporting into the COO, you will lead the execution of business development strategies across Hamilton Locke to drive better revenue outcomes. You will coach, develop and lead a high performing business development team to ensure they are working as efficiently and productively as possible.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the team delivers a level of BD support which brings the greatest value to the Partners and client facing teams, allowing them to grow their business and deliver to their client needs.
- Develop and lead a coordinated, standarised and consistent pitching and marketing collateral delivery capability (including capability statements, pitches and RFPs)
- Lead on the Hamilton Locke Key Account Management programme (KAMs)
- Develop and streamline business development processes to ensure that the team are working as efficiently as possible, on high value work.
- Work with Partners, Market group and Practice Group Leaders to build and execute on their business plans and strategies.
- Assist with client mapping, client engagement and client selection/de selection.
- Facilitate BD coaching with Partners and legal teams.
- Development of practice and sector level award and directory submissions, including league tables (IFLR, Chambers, Legal 500 etc)
- Managing memberships, industry associations and sponsorships including arranging speaking engagements
**About you**
We are looking for someone:
- Extensive experience in business development, adding value and providing a high level of business development support.
- Experience building, developing and improving business development and client related processes.
- Experience coaching and mentoring business development teams, and working in a positive and collaborative manner.
- Background in professional services or other related field, (legal services is not required).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
- Adaptable and innovative, you are able to keep pace as the client and firm needs evolve
- Who is organised and likes working in fast paced environments.
- With a positive and collaborative approach.
