**About the Team**

Transport’s Regional and Outer Metropolitan division’s purpose is to make regional and outer metropolitan NSW a better place to live, work and visit. Our division is made up of over 4,400 people in over 270 locations across NSW. We operate transport services and maintain our regional networks to help our regional communities and visitors stay safe and connected.

**The Opportunity**

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Community and Customer Engagement Officer (Temporary full time until June 2025) to join our Community and Customer Engagement South team in the Regional and Outer Metropolitan division. In this role you will assist in the delivery of the full range of internal and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement services within a designated region. This role will also provide services across community consultation, communication and engagement strategies, customer information and issues management.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans to assist in the effective management of community information and engagement needs on Transport for NSW (TfNSW) infrastructure projects and programs
- Coordinate and provide support in the delivery of events, workshops, and community consultation activities to maximise community engagement outcomes and feedback
- Contribute to building community awareness by developing creative content across all communication channels

**About You**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated engagement professional who has worked with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective communication engagement strategies.

To succeed in this role, you must have experience in community consultation and have strong writing skills. You will be a highly motivated worker with a creative flair and an ability to identify risks and proactive opportunities.

You are a highly organised individual, who can prioritise multiple tasks and deliver to tight deadlines. Collaboration and building strong relationships are key to delivering positive outcomes for this team and for our customers, so you must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to step into a rewarding and challenging role that delivers real outcomes for the people of NSW.

**Salary and benefits**

The salary for this position is USS8 ($106,817) - ($114,624) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
