**In this role, you'll**:
Manage and oversee community engagement plans; driving strategy for major projects in the development and construction space.

Enjoy a diverse role that will see you work as a leader in a small team, providing guidance and mentoring to others, while delivering a range of internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement, providing specialist advice, community consultation, and more.

Work collaboratively to understand project status, timelines, events, and milestones while identifying and managing risk, and keeping the community informed of progress, changes, and impacts.

Be part of an evolving team in a position that you will have the opportunity to make your own. Your day will vary and could include working with development and construction teams, providing guidance on strategy and developing communications plans, engaging in high-level meetings, responding to ministerial requests, liaising with councils or other government agencies, and much more.

This is a hybrid role based out of Wollongong with expectation of some time spent in the office, attending sites and (at times) travelling within the south region to engage with communities and key stakeholders.

There are two roles available across different major projects, within the Princes Highway upgrade program and the Picton Road & Mount Ousley upgrade teams. They are each fixed term full time positions until the second half of 2026.

**About You**
- You’re someone who can really hit the ground running by having had extensive experience in a complex, multi-faceted organisation like government.
- Your communications experience should be well demonstrated within a project space (could be development/planning, construction, etc), and has involved communication and engagement with both project stakeholders and the broader community.
- You are highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills and exceptional communication skills. You take a great deal of pride in the work product you are overseeing or completing.
- You’re adaptable, understand the importance of process, can manage competing priorities, and want a role that has an impact on the community.
