The Team Leader, Licensing assists the Manager Licensing lead an efficient delivery of licensing services for Earth Resources Regulator. The position reports to the Manager of Licensing and ensures the delivery of tenement licensing services for mining, quarrying, petroleum, geothermal and other earth resources activities across Victoria.
Accountabilities
- Lead a Licensing Services function with significant staff responsibilities and strategic importance for Earth Resources Regulator. Ensure the delivery of tenement licensing services to the mining, extractive, petroleum, geothermal energy and offshore pipelines industries in accordance with statutory timeframes and in line with appropriate policies and operational practices.
- Contribute to effective leadership and management of the Licensing stream by fostering a collaborative, innovative and high performing culture aligned with the department's values. Lead, direct and motivate team members for their training, performance, and career development. Develop team members' capability to resolve complex issues through a process of critical thinking, consultation, and case management.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience interpreting legislation in a similar environment.
- Experience in licensing administration, preferably within a regulatory environment or regulator.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to collaborate with peers and senior managers, build a positive team culture, align teams with organisational values and goals, and provide effective people management

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2024. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
