Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine. **The Role**

An opportunity exists at our operation for a Geologist - Coal Quality to join our team. As an integral member of the Technical Services team, you will be passionate about driving a high-performance, safe and productive work culture, role modelling and reinforcing the behaviours that will underpin the success of our operation.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Geologist, you will be primarily responsible for;
- Coal quality including development of daily and weekly coal plans
- Management of ROM stockpiles
- Interaction with coal chain stakeholders including management, logistics, CHPP and operational personnel
- Annual and LOM NGERs reporting
- Geotechnical hazard reporting, highwall mapping and hydrogeological monitoring
- Advising on coal seam & partings characteristics for reconciliations & field exposures

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have;
- Bachelor of Science (Geology major) or other related tertiary qualifications preferred OR secondary education with extensive exposure to Open Cut Coal Mining in NSW and willingness to complete tertiary qualifications
- Experience working in an Open Cut Mine Environment
- Exposure to Vulcan, PointStudio, Deswik and/or MinVu software’s
- Open drivers licence (ability to drive manual)
