**About the opportunity**
This is your opportunity to be part of the team increasing the uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) in NSW. Australia’s EV uptake, including rates of EV uptake in NSW, are significantly behind fast-growing global markets. Help us tackle the challenges of:

- persistent barriers to EV uptake
- empowering customers to make informed decisions about their current and future vehicle choices
- the charging infrastructure gaps occurring across regional and metropolitan NSW
- addressing the integration of EV’s across NSW’s energy grid.

Our Net Zero Transport team is seeking an experienced and agile Contract Manager to support the execution of grants projects DCCEEW. If this is you, you will help our customers and partners in industry and the public to transition to electric vehicles and ultimately help the state reach net zero emissions.

**As a member of the team you will be**:

- working with diverse and passionate stakeholders from industry, local councils and NSW government agencies to support the adoption of electric vehicles and the successful implementation of the NSW Electric Vehicle Strategy
- working in a team that aims to deliver tangible outcomes across 6 major initiatives - from ensuring there is a sufficient mix of EV charging options across fast chargers, regional destinations, apartment retrofits and kerbside charging, to supporting fleets to transition to EVs and creating a suite of consumer information to inform and empower potential NSW EV motorists
- contributing to the rapid delivery of a world-class charging network that meets diverse needs across all NSW motorists
- part of the team delivering substantial emission reductions from the transport sector and supporting the State’s objective to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

EV Fast Charging Grants - (program funding until 2026)

EV Kerbside Charging Grants - (program funding until 2026)

**Primary purpose of the role**

The role will be dedicated to contract and case management for the Fast Charging and Kerbside Charging grants teams.

**As a Contract Manager, you will**:

- be responsible for developing contract management frameworks, tools, and processes across these two high value and high-profile grants programs
- undertake active contract management with grant recipients
- conduct analysis to identify and resolve project delivery gaps and early project risk indicators
- support teams with their ongoing project delivery reporting requirements and data collection, and in the execution of grant funding agreement variations
- be trained by the program teams on program details and in the use of grants management platform SmartyGrants to ensure you’re successful in this role.

**Key accountabilities**:
**Overall**
- Create and document contract management frameworks and processes
- Engage with internal teams and management for input and approval of funding agreement variations
- Track and analyse grantees across two grant programs to identify any emerging issues with agreed project delivery scope and timelines
- Report on key stakeholder engagement outcomes
- Manage time and deliverables effectively across two grant program teams

**Fast charging**
- Contract management of funding agreements with grantees (Charge Point Operators)
- Organise the regular bi-monthly project meetings with all grantees
- Regularly source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress and outcomes against established milestones and deliverables
- Ensure comprehensive reporting and documentation in Smartygrants grants management system
- Assist with the execution of funding agreement variations.

**Kerbside charging**
- Contract management of funding agreements with grantees (Charge Point Operators and Local Councils)
- Organise periodic and ad-hoc project meetings with grantees
- Collate and check documentation for progress and acquittal reports against established milestones and deliverables, submitted through the online grants management system, SmartyGrants
- Identify contract management issues, gaps and pain points to share with team lead and project officers
- Assist with processing of project milestone invoices by raising purchase orders and liaising with the internal finance team
