**Job Description**:
With continued growth, a great opportunity for an accomplished National Business Manager to manage and grow a major retailer account to generate profitable sales revenue by utilising the capabilities of the Contract Manufacturing (CM) production sites and key supplier capabilities. This will be achieved by working closely with our customers Buying Directors and their teams in conjunction with our CM Project Manager, internal technical and product delivery teams to develop and bring new and existing products to market. The incumbent will be involved in tenders, product pricing, and customer review presentations and meetings. As National Business Manager, you will be an integral member of the Sales Leadership Team and Extended Leadership Team and will be accountable for all aspects of the ongoing delivery and growth of the business sales targets including input into, execution and delivery of the broader Sales Strategy. You will have a direct report into this role.

**Day to day this role will see you**:

- Position Contract Manufacturing within our customer and drive the sales team to achieve sustainable solid growth that meets or exceeds monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets as agreed with the GM of Sales.
- Execute appropriate account planning, business processes / activities and proactively manage team to ensure delivery of sales, margin, and ultimate profitability of the account.
- Build and manage a high performing and inclusive culture within the team, and cross functionally, ensuring best practice both commercially and operationally.
- Form part of the sales and operations planning processes to ensure the best outcomes for both the business and the customers are maintained.
- Work with Marketing & Technical teams to optimise core ranging and promotional products with our customer.
- Have input to and be responsible for the delivery of sales targets and account strategy aligned to CM strategic direction and delivery of business expectations
- Build and maintain strong personal relationships with key customer Buying Directors and relevant Quality, Supply Chain and Operations team members.
- Conduct regular quarterly reviews with Group Buying Directors and co-ordinate the Annual Top to Top review with customer.
- Manage the development of new ranging opportunities in our core segments, product campaign activities within account.
- Take accountability to deliver the budgeted Sales & Gross Contribution for the account. Prepare the submission of forecasts and budgets, ensuring maximum transparency across issues and opportunities and lead the Business Development and Category (sales) reviews.

**About you**

This role would suit an energetic person who is commercially savvy, has experience with major FMCG customers and has managed Customer Accounts of similar scale and complexity with a value creation focus. You will have lead people in a business of similar scale and complexity.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a selling role and Account Management
- Experience with private label product development.
- Confident negotiation experience.
- A commercial approach and financial literacy.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong reporting, category management and data analysis capabilities.
- Proven prior customer team leadership experience with a collaborative approach
