**What you'll be doing**:
The Medical Administration Officer will act as Team Leader for the Medical Administration staff, reviewing the medical rosters and working with medical agencies to fulfill roster shortfalls.

Your role will be to provide administrative support for Junior and Senior medical recruitment processes, including setting up interviews and providing documentation as well as work with Senior and Junior medical workforce as the central contact for medical staff in providing feedback regarding the hospital placement, accommodation and other issues.

Within this role you will ensure all training records are up to date for both Senior and Junior medical staff including Health Education Training Institute (HETI) reports and central point of contact for medical staffing for sick/annual leave. This fast paced role will see you replace staffing shortfalls by sourcing and placing of contingent medical staff and ensuring all changes are entered into Health Roster, promptly, efficiently and in an accurate manner.

The Medical Administration Officer will work closely and provide support for the Director of Prevocational Education and Training (DPET) and with the NBMLHD JMO Workforce Unit and the Executive Director of Medical Services (EDMS).

**Selection criteria to be addressed**:

- Previous extensive experience with the Health Roster system.
- Demonstrated high level organisational skills including the ability to problem solve, prioritise workload and meet deadlines under pressure and the capacity to exercise initiative and judgement, including the ability to manage changing and conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills incorporating the abilities of courtesy, diplomacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service focus skills.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills, including high level computer literacy.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high functioning team and to escalate key issues of concern in a timely manner.
