**The Role**
Reporting to, Head of Trade & Commercial, this role is responsible for the direct supervision of a team of B2B Sales experts, utilising a hands-on approach to ensure consistent and effective delivery of new business through pre-generated leads and continual growth of established business accounts.
You will take full responsibility for guiding, mentoring & driving the sales team (of varying skill levels and business experience) to even greater heights to achieve the aggressive growth targets we have set for the next 5 years.
Position Scope
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading and building a motivated and successful trade and commercial sales team, to ensure that revenue, margin and profitability targets are met
- Coaching Account Managers in strategies on developing new business through pre-generated leads and ensuring the growth of existing accounts through fostering and maintaining strong business relationships
- Providing extensive coaching, consulting, and performance management monitoring through conducting side-by-side observations, reviews, leading Team meetings, and conducting regular performance assessments with direct reports
- Mapping company’s sales stages with our customer’s journey to understand and enhance what skills, knowledge, process, and tools are required by our sales force to increase productivity and conversion rates at each stage in those processes
- Developing account management planning processes and templates
- Developing successful sales initiatives
- Driving a value led culture of exceptional customer experience and engagement across all aspects of the business
- Increasing the sales pipeline acceleration, quality of the pipeline and improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team
- Developing training modules and processes for our newly formed off shore pre-sales team
- Weekly planning, execution and accurate reporting on inbound and outbound sales calls in line with targets
- Development of revenue forecasts and effective KPI metrics to measure success
- Monthly reporting and tracking of Trade & Commercial segment performance
- Working with Head of Trade & Commercial, Growth and Data teams to articulate the vision, architecture and execution of the tools required to ensure the team are set up for success
- Management of CRM system and processes with regular assessment and recommendation for potential improvements
- Development of standardised training modules for sales team and effective onboarding of new starters
- Management of selected Key Accounts
Experience & qualifications
- At least 5-8 years of sales/sales operations/customer care management experience preferred
- Ability to take initiative in a constantly changing work environment
- Demonstrated people management skills, including the ability to coach, mentor and elevate your team members careers
- Experience in creating and optimising processes
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills
- Experience creating and implementing successful sales process/methodology/ sales playbook initiatives
- Experience building and executing an effective field sale on-boarding and sales training programs
- Experience with CRM and sales enablement platforms
- Extensive sales and customer service skills
- A proven track record of driving and exceeding sales targets and budgets
- Experience in B2B sales, online retail and /or the design industry a plus
