**The Service**

KU James Cahill Preschool is one of our extended hours preschools, operating Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm throughout the year.

Close to public transport, KU James Cahill is **located in Waterloo **and caters for toddler and preschool aged children.

KU James Cahill has been involved in research projects that aim to support educators and families in their understanding of how to nurture children’s social and emotional wellbeing within the context of a preschool environment.

**The Role**

We are looking for an educator with a completed diploma qualification to work with a strong and experienced director and a team of highly motivated educators who value working in the early childhood sector.

**On offer is a permanent part time position that will see you working 13.5 hours per week; 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday), 4.5 hours per day (12:40pm to 5:10pm).**

**To be considered for this role, it is essential you have**:

- A recognised Diploma level of qualification in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA).
- Current Child Protection training, understanding of legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children.
- A current First Aid certificate with separate Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training.
- Current NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) as well as the "Circle of Security" theory
