KU James Cahill has been involved in research projects that aim to support educators and families in their understanding of how to nurture children’s social and emotional wellbeing. The service is an extended hours service and opens Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm that offers 48 places to preschool aged children.

Children are presented with a range of activities including gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as reading, drawing and writing. We acknowledge our physical environments as the ‘third teacher’, we want children to be able to dig in the mud, climb trees, discover and learn about insects and enjoy connecting with nature.

We are looking for an organised administrator to provide a range of administrative duties vital to the efficient operations of the service. In particular, you will be administering accounts payable, accounts receivable, fee processing and assisting the Director with a range of tasks including filing and record keeping, as well as being the friendly point of contact for families.

This permanent role will see you work 12 hours per week, work days and hours are negotiable between Monday and Friday.

- Experience with Childcare Funding and Childcare Subsidies and Fee processing

- Have proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and have received both initial COVID19 vaccinations
