**The Opportunity**

- $110,073 - $119,132 (depending on experience) + 17% super + annual leave loading
- Full-time (35 hours week) | Continuing (permanent) role

The Research Ethics & Compliance Support (RECS) team coordinates committees and processes for research involving humans, animals, gene technology, radiation safety and research export controls and provides advice on legislative and other requirements in these areas. Committees include the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and its Human Research Ethics Advisory Panels (HREAPs). RECS also coordinate other research compliance areas such as export controls, drone use and quarantine.

This Integral role provides advanced clinical trials governance support to the Human Research Manager and the Director, Research Ethics Compliance, overseeing compliance and regulatory requirements to facilitate the assessment, initiation, and continued monitoring of clinical trials in accordance with UNSW requirements. You’ll also make a significant contribution to strategic and operational projects across the Research Ethics Compliance Support office, supporting the delivery of Division of Research & Enterprise goals.

**About the successful applicant**

You have a relevant tertiary qualification and or experience in clinical trials research governance with high-level understanding of codes and legislation related to clinical trials and research governance, and the ability to interpret regulations effectively. You’ll also be able to demonstrate your experience in safety monitoring and compliance reporting processes for clinical trials, and analysis of policies or guidelines to provide guidance to stakeholders throughout the clinical trials research governance process.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate your understanding and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives, and values, as well as relevant policies and guidelines. Lastly, they should possess knowledge of health and safety responsibilities, both psychosocial and physical, and a commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
