We deliver over 120 clinical trials with more than 800 patients currently on active trials across haematology and medical oncology. Our collaborative research team is based at Icon Cancer Centres across Sydney and Gosford.

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Clinical Trials Coordinator to provide high-level support to Principal Investigators in the conduct and day-to-day management of clinical trials. This role involves managing and conducting the clinical trial portfolio, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice and company policies.

The successful candidate will have relevant research experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to influence people and analyse data. A background in extended Oncology/Haematology Nursing, Pharmacy, or Clinical Trials experience is preferred, but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-volume oncology and haematology clinical trial unit, with access to leading technology and phase I medical oncology clinical trials. The 12-month part-time contract offers four days per week, with the possibility of job sharing between two candidates.

The salary for this position is estimated at around AU$85,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level support to Principal Investigators in the conduct and day-to-day management of clinical trials.
  • Manage and conduct the clinical trial portfolio, including trial coordination, recruitment, participant education and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice, NHMRC National Statement and company policies.
  • Contribute to the financial management of the business unit, tracking patient payment data and submitting it in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate effectively with trial participants, ensuring procedures are booked appropriately and attendance for trial visits is maintained.
  • Actively attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled individual who can independently solve problems, manage their workflow and build rapport with various stakeholders through strong communication. Relevant research experience and a degree in a health science field are essential. Training in clinical trials is provided.
