**The role**

An exciting opportunity to join a leading public transport service provider has become available for an expert in safety audits and procedures as our
- **Safety Assurance Specialist**.
- As our Safety Assurance Specialist, you will undertake all assurance activities including safety compliance audits across the fleet and report your findings, including non-compliance, and make recommendations to minimise safety risks in the workplace. You will also assist with investigations, human factors framework and incident reporting.
- Your knowledge of risk compliance and strength in safety audits will provide input into the development of the Safety & Assurance strategic plan, with an aim to creating assurance that we as organisation promote best practice maintaining our external accreditation.

**What you bring**

Essentially, you are a result-focused and critical thinker with demonstrated experience in planning and executing safety audits for the transport industry or similar environment. With proven experience within a WHS environment. Your experience will ideally be complemented by a certification in Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor, ICAM Investigator and qualifications or experience with WHS Act is also beneficial.

Your high organisational and time management skills coupled by an ability to translate the requirements of legislation, regulations, codes and standards into easy-to-follow procedures and work instructions will see you excel in this position. This is a role for someone who excels in providing strong interpersonal and relationship management skills to negotiate and influence outcomes.
