**About Monash Doctors Workforce**
The Monash Doctors Workforce (MDW) is responsible for medical workforce planning and the recruitment of senior medical staff (SMS) and junior medical staff (JMS) across Monash Health. The MDW is also responsible for managing JMS rotations, providing employee service functions to JMS and SMS and for providing policy advice on all issues relating to the employment of medical staff at Monash Health.
**About the Role**
The coordinator is responsible for recruitment, credentialing and/or operational functions under the guidance of the Team Leader and Director, Monash Doctors Workforce.
As part of a team the coordinator will be responsible in areas including:
- Recruitment, Credentialing & Operations
- Medical workforce planning and establishment
- Recruitment and selection of paid (JMS & SMS) and unpaid appointments where MDW has direct responsibility for these functions including interns, general trainees, physician trainees and surgical trainees
- Credentialing, contracting and on boarding of all medical staff (paid and unpaid appointments).
- Managing all aspects of on boarding to ensure medical staff are ‘work ready’
- Employment contracting of locum and secondment arrangements
- Roster portfolio management meeting appropriate timeframes and in accordance with Monash Health policies.
- Compliance with Enterprise Bargain Agreement conditions.
- Coordination and management of medical staff leave planning.
- Management and backfill cover of emergent JMS leave.
- Ensure all Junior Medical Staff and Senior Medical staff are credentialed in accordance with the Monash Doctors Credentialing & Scope of Practice Procedure, including any short
- or long-term locum staff prior to rostering
