Company Description

Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company - the home of Australia’s most trusted and loved brands spanning News, Sport, Lifestyle, and Entertainment. We pride ourselves on creating the best content, accessed by consumers when and how they want - across Publishing, Broadcasting and Digital.

Our Purpose: We shape culture by sparking conversations, challenging perspectives, and entertaining our communities.

We bring people together by celebrating the big occasions and connecting the everyday moments. Australia belongs here. We bring our purpose to life via three shared values: We walk the talk, turn over every stone and keep it human.

**Job Description**:
Nine’s vast audience truly reflects the diversity of our country, and we believe it is essential that we strive to reflect this in how we spark conversations, tell stories and inform the nation, and of course in the makeup of our workforce itself. We are committed to continually driving a culture of inclusion and belonging, where our people feel supported to bring their authentic self to work.

As the DEI Lead you will own the continuing development and implementation of the strategy, framework and governance structure that will help Nine meet its DEI aspirations. You will influence thinking and behaviours by delivering learning initiatives for our leaders and employers. You will empower people at all levels to drive cultural change, create trust and embrace belonging and inclusion.

Day to day you will:

- Actively build, maintain, facilitate and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness and keep up-to-date with diversity and inclusion practices
- Take responsibility for the engagement and success of Nine’e Employee Resource Groups (Nine Communities)
- Guide and influence leaders on the importance of driving diversity and inclusion
- Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices
- Profile and leverage new trends and initiatives to build momentum, passion and substance
- Implement diversity metrics that can measure Nine’s success
- Review current practices and policies, assessing and analysing the extent to which they support or hinder Nine’s diversity goals

**Qualifications**:
You are a passionate and experienced DEI professional who looks for opportunities every day to challenge thinking and drive change. You are excited by the opportunity to have a lasting impact in an organisation that’s engaged in the broader agenda and motivated to deliver outcomes.

What we would like to see on your resume:
