**About the Role**
This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Clinical Trial Manager to join the Department of Infectious Diseases at the prestigious Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity. In this role, you will lead the setup and management of a groundbreaking international adaptive platform clinical trial focused on improving clinical outcomes for COVID-19 patients. Working closely with esteemed professionals such as Professor Steven Tong, you will contribute to cutting-edge research and play a vital role in shaping the future of infectious disease treatment. Your responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for preparing study protocols, case report forms, informed consent forms, and other clinical research documentation appropriate for adaptive platform trials.
- Assist in development of study database establishment, design and functionality suitable for an adaptive platform trial, data quality and entry
- Take overall responsibility for the clinical trial budget and provide financial reporting to funders and key stakeholders.
- Liaise with University of Melbourne Office of Research Ethics and Integrity regarding trial sponsorship and contracts

**Who We Are Looking For**
You are a highly organised individual with the ability to effectively plan and prioritise work, thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment, and work independently with mínimal supervision, demonstrating flexibility and initiative. Your exceptional oral communication and interpersonal skills allow you to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, driving towards desired outcomes.

You will also have:

- Post-graduate qualification in nursing, science, health science or biomedical science or progress towards and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Significant experience with responsible roles in the planning, conduct, coordination or management of clinical research, specifically in adaptive platform clinical trials.
- Good working knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology, a sound understanding of the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and an excellent knowledge of applicable Australian and international regulations and guidelines
- Proficient in project management tools and handling documentation for ethics submissions and regulatory compliance.
