Brisbane, Australia State Library Full time

In this role some of the duties and responsibilities we'll trust you with include:

- Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by modelling conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful and ethical.
- Delivery of high quality and efficient facilities management services to support the needs of both internal and external clients while meeting State Library's service commitments and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Participating in a high performing team in the delivery of facilities management services and workplace health and safety compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 across multiple sites while ensuring professional and responsive services to clients.
- Coordinating and planning day to day maintenance and minor works for State Library buildings located at South Bank, Cannon Hill and Cairns to maintain existing high standards of presentation and compliance. This includes liaising with Arts Queensland and the Department of Housing and Public Works, external vendors and contractors.
- Monitoring contracts (e.g. cleaning, waste) to ensure deliverables are met and adhered to as per agreed standards and timeframes while achieving key service objectives and meeting organisational priorities.
- Responding to internal client enquiries relating to facilities management issues in a timely manner. This includes investigating concerns, liaising with property management and contractors as appropriate and finding practical solutions.
- Managing and monitoring security access levels and emergency management as well as overseeing mail/freight operations, dock and fleet management ensuring compliance with State Library's policies and procedures.
- Contributing to business improvement activities ensuring relevant policies, procedures and guidelines meet best practice and State Library requirements. This includes a continuous improvement cycle for feedback, raising concerns and generating solutions.
