**As the Facilities Officer, you will**:

- Assist with computer hardware installations and removals and ongoing support, including but not limited to, the delivery, positioning, electrical power connections and data cabling, whilst minimising disruption of existing systems. Practice strict change control in accordance with CITEC's policies and procedures which are closely aligned with ITIL best practice, and ensure practices are aligned with documented work processes and procedures. Provide strict administration of security related procedures, which guarantee the security of CITEC's computer facility, with respect to unauthorised access and /or malicious damage to hardware and the physical security of personnel. Assist with the ongoing provision of electrical, mechanical, fire and related services to maintain CITEC's computer facilities. Prepare statistical reports and correspondence relating to facilities management activities, and ensure documentation relating to CITEC's computer room facilities is current. Assist with capacity planning for CITEC's Communication Rooms Facilities and correspondence relating to facilities management activities, and ensure inventory documentation records relating to CITEC's Communication room facilities is current and accurate. Maintain effective working relationships with internal clients through provision of high quality and timely services and advice (including relevant site safety inductions). Knowledge of copper and fibre cabling and the different facets of delivering carrier services; including knowledge of the following programs and products - UPS Monitoring Software, Fibre test equipment, Visio and Microsoft products. Ability to perform systems installation/decommissioning, including installation, testing, implementation or decommissioning and removal of data cabling, wiring, equipment hardware. Ability to communicate messages clearly and concisely and structure written and oral communication, so it is easy to follow. Demonstrated ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with stakeholders, clients and other team members, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely and structure written and oral communication, so it is easy to follow. It is highly desirable that you hold a current Cabling licence, preferably with structured cabling systems, optical fibre and hold current testing endorsements.
