**About Them**
The Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) is the national association representing human resource and people management specialists in Australia supporting over 16,000 members. AHRI enables the profession through its membership model, professional standards and certification, professional development opportunities, HR knowledge and insights through AHRI Assist, and using its voice to advocate for and influence HR best practice.

Having gone through a period of transformation, AHRI has revamped their service offering and technology to provide a range of new content and services to their members.

**About the Role**
The General Manager, HR Standards & Learning plays a critical role in enabling AHRI's vision to professionalise the industry. Reporting to the CEO and as an integral member of the Executive team, this role will oversee a high-performing team responsible for setting standards, curating and developing content, and leading learning for AHRI members.

A key focus will be championing AHRI Certification to ensure that it meets global benchmarks and the rapidly changing needs of organisations, meets the current and future needs of the HR profession, and is recognised as a highly relevant qualification for contemporary HR practitioners.

As a strong relationship builder demonstrating exceptional consulting skills, you will also be responsible for creating networks of professionals and drawing on the expertise of expert panels, who help drive AHRI’s position as thought leaders.

**About Success**
You will inspire, collaborate and drive the organisations strategic objectives, overseeing a number of projects, ensuring that content is forward thinking and meets the needs of the current and future HR market. This role will provide you to demonstrate your proven success in leading teams and organisations through change and transformation, whilst bringing all your creativity and ideas to the table.

**About You**
AHRI is looking for an experienced and passionate HR Leader with a deep knowledge of HR theory, practice and key trends, in addition to experience leading the Learning & Development function. Exceptional people leadership skills and experience managing contemporary learning practices and digital delivery will be key to your success. You have demonstrated your ability to flex between strategic and operational people requirements, with empathy towards operating in a small business environment. You are known for your exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships, and have actively contributed to a transformation agenda as part of an executive team.

Your passion for the HR profession will be evident and infectious. You have great networks in the HR Community and an innovative approach coupled with strong business acumen.

The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in business, HR or a related field, and AHRI certification (CPHR or FCPHR) or be willing to personally complete with the AHRI Certification Program.
