About You

As the Research Events and Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support across a range of DSC Research events. DSC Research events include research conferences, symposia, industry research events, and research planning activities. Under the direction of the Senior Coordinator, Research Operations, you will book event venues, guests, travel, catering, AV, facilities, marketing and promotion, distribution of event materials and collation of feedback. You will establish and maintain consistent systems for the management of research events, resources, day-to-day operations and services.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
- Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and logístical support in the organisation and delivery of a range of events.- Highly developed organisational and planning skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.- Highly developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues within and beyond the immediate work unit, positively contributing to the achievement of organisational goals.- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and the ability to deliver a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.- Demonstrated digital literacy.

Research Centres are effective vehicles for generating significant research income, impact and reputation in areas of recognised strength. Research Groups and Labs play an important role in developing school research culture, focussing school research effort, building research teams and delivering research outcomes.
