**The Role**:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Obs and Gynae Consultant to take on a leadership role as Head of Unit in a small rural hospital located in a beautiful regional location.

You will be expected to encourage and support teamwork and coordination amongst staff for optimal clinical service outcomes. To undertake clinical duties in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as directed by the Director of Medical Services. To supervise the clinical practice of, and to teach Obstetrics and Gynaecology to GPs, Registrars and Resident Medical Officers, Medical Students etc as required. To initiate research and development projects and quality assurance programs associated with the Obstetrics and Gynaecology services.
- Total Indicative Remuneration: MD2 $490,936 -$639,544 p.a. (pro-rata)_
**Must have fellowship of the RANZCOG (or equivalent), eligible for registration as a Specialist with AHPRA.**

Wake up to sunshine and fresh air, mostly clear all year round and a great place to be if you hate humidity. In Summer, the average maximum temperature is around 29°C. You can expect it to get a little chilly in winter and a bit of rain in June. The best times of the year are in April, October, and November where the temperatures sit around 20-25°C.

You’ll find that the residents of Gawler are heavily involved in everything that happens there.

**Essential**:

- Must have fellowship of the RANZCOG (or equivalent), eligible for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of South Australia.
- IMG with substantial comparability with RANZCOG

**Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills**:

- Proven skills in:_
- Investigation, negotiation, and resolution of complaints.
- Supervision, direction, and management of staff.
- Working relationships with patients, their families and other staff which demonstrates, courtesy, respect, consideration, empathy, honesty, openness, providing good service, promoting health and promoting the goals of the BHF and Gawler Health Service.
- Effective communication, both verbally and written.
