**About the role**

The Social Content Producer is an integral role within the entertainment team that will be responsible for driving audience growth and engagement for a number of our key brands. Reporting to the Digital Managing Editor (DME), the social content producer will manage a number of social and audience channels across Instagram, Facebook and EDMs. You will be charged with creating and posting content in line with best practice and social strategy to ensure the growth and engagement of our large social audience.

You will be expected to work closely with the digital content team to implement and maintain a social content schedule across our iconic entertainment brands including New Idea, Woman’s Day, Now to Love and TV WEEK. You will work closely with the digital content and magazine teams to ensure the social strategies align with and represent the individual brands.

You will be expected to have a strong working knowledge of how the social media platforms operate and how best to create content that drives up our audiences (and indirectly our revenue). You will be an emerging expert in knowing the best ways to create publish-ready social media content in the form of short-form video, engaging carousels and powerful posts.

**Duties**
- Create a social media schedule and implement across Instagram and Facebook
- Create engaging copy and captions for social posts using your strong written communication skills - great spelling and grammar is essential.
- Create visually appealing posts and reels using editing platforms and tools such as Canva
- Use available tools and analytics to measure success and provide insights to audiences
- Work closely and collaboratively with a small team of digital content creators as well as key stakeholders
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of each brand’s tone and audience
- Pitch new and innovative ideas and campaigns (videos, EDMs, series, clusters) to drive audience, with possible commercial potential

**Skills and experience**
- A passion for social media and the appetite for creating best-in-class visuals
- Deep understanding (professional and/or personal) of creating content including short-form video for Instagram Reels, Stories and Grid and Facebook
- Ability to identify the latest trends and viral moments and jump on these opportunities as soon as they arise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Canva or other photo editing platforms will be highly regarded
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent
