The Role

Are you a creative and tech-savvy social media whiz? ABC is seeking a talented Social Media Producer to join our dynamic Arts, Culture & Entertainment team in Sydney.

As a Social Media Producer, you'll be at the forefront of ABC's digital content strategy, crafting engaging and innovative social media content that captivate our audience across multiple platforms. With a deep understanding of social media trends and best practices, you'll play a crucial role in amplifying ABC's brand and content reach.

This is a 12-month contract position based in our Sydney office.

The Job

  • Identify video content opportunities and create and publish impactful video content.
  • Manage social and digital platforms to meet the team’s strategic goals, including curating and moderating content.
  • Collaborate with team members to create impactful content, share knowledge and work on projects.
  • Analyse performance and report regularly on content output and communicate findings to key stakeholders.

About You

You'll have demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in creating impactful video content for digital and social audiences, in vertical and 16:9 formats.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation
  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt content for different social media platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media analytics tools and metrics, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Advanced experience in the production of digital content, using camera equipment & production systems to create content including video, graphics and motion graphics.
  • Passion for innovation and a keen understanding of emerging digital trends.
  • Being on the pulse of what's happening in entertainment and pop culture.
