About the Role

We have an exciting part-time (22.8 hours) permanent opportunity for an Administration Assistant based in our Redfern, NSW office. You will be an integral member of dynamic and passionate Salvation Army International Development (SAID) Team and will coordinate activities and provide a range of administration to ensure the effective management of the Department.

Reporting to the Head of SAID, you will also be required to develop and manage relationships with a number of key internal and external stakeholders and maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Key responsibilities:
Admin Support:

- Provide administration support to ensure effective management of SAID department’s office, schedule and workload
- Undertake a range of general office administration to ensure the smooth running of the office and function
- Develop a range of reports (including Board and Management reports), documents and presentations to support the Head of SAID
- Coordinate the travel arrangements for the SAID Team, including flights, accommodation and visas
- Organise events and meetings such as preparing invitations, coordinating attendees, developing agendas, taking minutes and ensuring all required resources such as IT systems are available and functioning

Data Management:

- Prepare relevant documentation for SAID Practice Advisory Group (SAID PAG) ensuring accuracy and appropriateness for compliance needs
- Ensure sound document control and record management of key information is maintained through developing and utilising filing and retrieval systems, ensuring confidentiality as required

About You

Key capabilities:

- Relevant Business qualification such as Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration
- An understanding of governance models in the NGO/charity sector, desirable
- An understanding of international Community development, desirable
- A knowledge of the ACFID Code of Conduct, DFAT accreditation standards, desirable

Requirements of the role:

- Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders
- High level of organisational skills
- National Criminal History Record Check
- Valid Working with Children Check
