How you will make an impact

We are seeking and enthusiastic and driven Finance Business Partner to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team at Cabrini Health. The Finance Business Partner has the responsibility for financial support to several Cabrini units focused on budgeting, forecasting and reporting. This position is fixed term part time (maternity leave cover) and reports to the Director Financial Planning & Analysis.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert accounting and business knowledge, analytical support and clear presentation of financial and business information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues to support decision making- Leading the development of financial planning within the relevant area, ensuring strategy, workforce, activity and finances are aligned and ensuring profiling of budgets is understood- Assisting the Executive Director and Management in identifying opportunities for cost savings and income generation/maximisation, ensuring robust challenge and scrutiny- Investigating key variances in budget movement and provide clear reasoning for the movements- Ensuring accurate reporting within agreed timelines including the production of monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner

What you will bring to the role

Along with strong knowledge of financial control and accounting practice, you will also have:
- Strong financial analysis skills, with an aptitude for extracting data out of financial systems and analysing to provide insights and recommendations- Significant business, strategic and financial planning experience preferably in a large, complex organisation with significant exposure to senior management- An undergraduate degree in business, commerce or accounting- Recognised finance/accounting qualification (e.g. CA/CPA/CIMA)- Exceptional communication skills, particularly around conveying complex financial concepts to non-finance staff at all levels within the organisation- Advanced skills in Excel and Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.- Ability to be a team player and the ability to work with others on shared goals both internal and external to the Finance department.- Experience using Hyperion highly regarded.
