About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide efficient clerical and administrative support to the Corps with the purpose of enhancing the services to the community and supporting the achievement of the The Salvation Army mission.

Reporting to the Corps Officer, this is fixed-term (until May 2025), part-time (25 hours per week) position based in Box Hill, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Clerks Award.

You will successfully- Manage all general administration and clerical activities within Corps.- Support the Ministry team as required which includes but not limited to graphic design, multi-media, research, communications, public relations, set-ups and clean-ups, logistics, hall hire & marketing.- Draft meeting minutes by reflecting key points of discussion, including action points, where applicable, and submitted within required time frames.- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external visitors through reception related activities including all phone, face to face and online enquiries.

You will have- A Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant experience in an administration role- A valid NSW Employee Working With Children check.- Self-motivation, a high level of initiative and a strong work ethic.- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.- Excellent attention to detail.- Customer service skills.- A solid level of computer literacy in MS Office and exposure to various databases.- Experience within a community or Not-For-Profit setting (desirable).
