BD Building, an established carpentry labour hire business located in Surry Hills, is seeking a skilled accountant to join our finance team. **This role is integral to supporting a growing business by ensuring financial accuracy and contributing to various operational aspects.

**Job Description**:

- Ensure accurate accounts, including month-end reconciliation of key accounts.
- Develop and implement key processes to maintain financial integrity and prevent discrepancies.
- Keep management informed of significant payables and receivables outstanding.
- Handle the processing of monthly payroll tax reports.
- Review and submit monthly IAS/Quarterly BAS reports for all entities, and handle any related queries from the ATO as required.
- Prepare and review quarterly Superannuation reports.
- Maintain asset registers annually.
- Manage business insurance policies and workers' compensation insurance across all entities, ensuring accurate wage declarations.
- Generate monthly and yearly Long Service Leave reports.
- Coordinate with external accountants for annual income tax and FBT returns.
- Provide accurate financial reporting to directors monthly/quarterly, aiding strategic planning from a financial perspective.
- Collaborate with the operations, sales, and HR teams to onboard new clients, suppliers, and employees.
- Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as requested by directors and other teams.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
- CPA or CA qualifications.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- High level of attention to detail.
- 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

- Accounts: 3 years (preferred)
