We are looking for an energetic and analytical Accounts Payable to assist our finance department to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient and timely manner and handle our company's bills and managing our accounts payable ledger. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be required to review account information, correct discrepancies and ensure that accounts are properly billed and that payments are made. You also will be tasked with receiving, opening and logging invoices on the ledger and arranging invoice payments on time.

To succeed as an Account Payable, you should be a skilled and thorough researcher with excellent communication and record-keeping skills. You should be meticulous, organized and self-motivated with strong math and computer skills and thrive on working in an energetic and dynamic environment.

**Objectives of this Role**:

- Support the company in optimizing financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts
- Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts transaction process identifying areas of performance improvement
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting and comply with federal and state financial requirements
- Working within the Accounts Payable and Business Systems to process invoices, including setting up suppliers and entering invoices
- Reconciliation of supplier statements and follow up and management of invoice discrepancies supporting the business to ensure resolution.
- Reconciling and processing payments as per the company's payment schedules. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Assisting the Team with the day-to-day processing required of the department.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor all payments.
- Research and resolve invoices discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain vendor files and correspond/respond to inquiries.

**Skills and Qualifications Requirements**:

- TAFE Diploma in accounting, finance, or related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong math, typing, and computer skills, especially with Xero accounting software
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
- Attention to detail
- Able to work autonomously
- Ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- An associate degree
- Strong mathematical skills
- Prior experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Experience in driving process improvement

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
