**About this role**
The Principal Policy Officer is responsible for leading and managing the delivery and implementation of the Regulatory Services portfolio that supports the NSW Government mental health objectives.

They will provide advice to support managers to consistently interpret mental health legislation and regulation, policies and practices and maintain collaborative relationships with key staff in public health organisations and stakeholder representatives to maintain knowledge of mental health legislation and regulation issues, and discuss and process matters that have State wide consequences.

**Crown Clerk 11/12**, salary from $139,787 - $161,663 p.a. (plus Super and annual leave loading)

**What you’ll be doing**
Lead and manage a team of staff to provide high level advice and support to the Director, Planning Performance and Regulation, senior executives, and staff across NSW Health. You will be responsible for analysing policy and practice in relation to regulatory issues in mental health.

**Where you'll be working**
The Mental Health Branch sits within the Ministry’s Health System Strategy and Patient Experience Division. You will manage the Regulatory Services team and report directly to the Director, Planning, Performance and Regulation.

The position is located in St Leonards, in a modern, purpose-built building within an activity-based working environment. Close to public transport, cafés and local amenities.
