- **Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $108,153 to $121,870 + super**

Our **Resilience and Urban Sustainability team** is currently seeking to appoint a **_Planning Policy Officer_** to facilitate programs and relevant initiatives that contribute to the Departments Planning Outcomes and broader Government Planning System Objectives.

**About the role**
As the Planning Policy Officer, you will deliver quality work in a high-volume environment and competing priorities within tight timeframes. You will manage various interests from a diverse group of stakeholders that impact policy with the support of senior staff. You will undertake project management tasks, grant administration and develop policy in line with program objectives. There is a requirement to collate data and communicate complex and technical information to a range of stakeholders.
- You will be responsible for:_
- Giving your expert advice on allocated programs, policy and technical areas to support decision making.
- Undertake research and analysis of policy impacts and identify key issues with formulated recommendations for departmental outcomes
- Support and maintain partnerships with Internal/ external stakeholders with consultative engagement on relevant programs

**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualification in public policy, planning, law, economics, ecology, geographical information systems or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
