**Principal Policy Officer**

**About this role**
We have an opportunity within the Government Relations Branch at NSW Health for a Principal Policy Officer to join the Policy and Funding Reform Team.

This is a pivotal role for a dynamic individual who enjoys working as part of a team in a progressive and fast-paced environment to deliver cross-discipline policy outcomes, often within tight timeframes and within a dynamic political environment. You will be pragmatic in your approach, display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have well developed conceptual and analytical ability combined with excellent organisational skills. Experience in digital policy would be beneficial.

Crown Clerk 11/12, salary from $134,411 - $155,445 p.a. (plus super and annual leave loading)

**What you'll be doing**
- Manage and undertake policy and program development activities
- Review and evaluate projects to address current and emerging issues and provide strategic policy advice in relation to priority health and social policy issues, particularly around system architecture. This will require sustained engagement with a variety of stakeholders.
- Effectively and appropriately engage, negotiate and influence stakeholders at a senior level.
- Plan, manage and monitor projects assigned to the team to ensure project outcomes and/or expectations are achieved.
- Prepare high quality written reports, briefs, correspondence, and cabinet documents to inform or respond to agency or Government requests.
